The Choir (110 children) was selected from nine schools in the City of Cork by Composer Philip Green. After a few rehearsals he was genuinely startled at the lovely blending of the children's voices that he decided to rewrite "The Lord's Prayer" to fit the achingly tender and humbling mood being created by his new "recording artists." Thus, "The Lord's Prayer" on this recording is universally considered to be one of the most simplistically beautiful creations of all his works.
